**** Breaking news, the T-shirts are here! ****

The term Dawn Patrol referred to the fly boys of WWI that would head out before sunrise on their patrols. Now in skiing, surfing, mountain biking (and in this case swimming) it refers to those who head out at sunrise or at least early, to beat the crowds.

Al and I would like to celebrate the opening of the new swim season with a Swim / Brunch on Saturday, May 22. You don’t have to arrive at dawn to participate. We plan on having hot coffee and the BBQ fired up around 9:30 – 10:00, just as most of you will be getting out from your swim. It’s pretty casual, but it should be a chance to see some faces from last year and open the season on a fun note. We are also hoping to have the cool new Orca’s T-shirts by then ($5)

Let us know if you think you can participate, Just click here: I’d like to attend the swim brunch

We will be testing new members that day too, for those who would like to join.

Testing for Friday, May 6, 2010

I am planning to be down for the 6:00 PM Friday group swim, so if you show up for a spontaneous test, we can do that. If you decide to come down for a test and have not done so already, please perform the following simple, quick and easy steps:

Step 1: Go to the Dues payments page: Click the “Buy Now” button and complete the New Member dues transaction ($25), please note that you will NOT BE CHARGED until you pass the swim test and are issued a cap.

Step 2: Download and save to your computer the membership rules and information guide here:rules & information application form, read it, print it out and keep for your records, fill out this E-Z fill waiver fill it out, e-mail it to us (there’s a button on the top of the page), this way we can enter the data ahead of time, save a copy for yourself, print it out to bring to the lake with your signature at test time.

Step 3: Schedule a swim test with us by e-mailing us: sign_up@shadowcliffsorcas.com tell us what days / times work for you and we will work something out.
